Our story
Our story

80s – 90s
Sound of Music…begins in the Alps
Our story has its gastronomic beginnings in the Gastein Valley, in a quiet and remote place called Laderding – more precisely in the Laderdinger Hof. The traditional inn marked the first milestone of our history, after our family father had gathered experience in the gastronomy and tourism industry all over Austria for several years. This is where everything began: with hearty cuisine and finest locally prepared farm dishes – so convincing that even Falco and Pavarotti were enchanted by it.

90s – 2000
Lasciatemi Cantare and I cuochi cusano
From the Gastein Valley, we continue to the second chapter: The Italian inspiration leads us to Ristorante – Pizzeria Antonio in Zell am See. The restaurant is newly furnished and exudes Venetian vibes. A fishing net stretches across the ceiling, Italian statues adorn the interior, and in every corner stands a decorative wine bottle. Rome, Florence, and Tuscany – united in one place.
The family has also grown in the meantime, and even at a young age, the descendants soak up the diversity of the industry. No one suspects yet that the foundation for their future is already being laid here.
At Antonio, we pamper both locals and tourists with the finest Italian cuisine. Here, we also dare to introduce our “Indian Weeks” for the first time, which not only conquer the palates but also the local district newspapers. Even a Bollywood film crew stops by.

2007 – 2017
Basmati – The Origins
From the foot of the Areitbahn with a view of the Kitzsteinhorn, we are drawn to the town center of Zell. The view changes – and so does the restaurant. We open the region's first Indian restaurant, with a name that says it all: Basmati.
Here we bring authentic Indian cuisine to the Alpine region – seasoned with warm family hospitality and traditional recipes from back home. The concept is well received: the locals are thrilled and even adopt the name of the previous venue. You hear: “Let’s go to Antonio’s Basmati.”
Tourists also show great enthusiasm – especially English curry fans who pilgrimage straight to Basmati after their ski trip. In summer, countless guests from the Middle East find their way to the only restaurant in the region that serves them their beloved Indian cuisine.

2018 – 2024
Indian cuisine – newly interpreted.
The young boys of the family have meanwhile grown into adult men. Through academic stages at the WU Vienna and the Modul University Vienna, the city became dear to their hearts. Numerous international and professional experiences – from Brazil, the USA, and England to the Middle East – eventually led the family to the federal capital.
The diverse insights into international gastronomy are now combined with decades of experience – and a new concept is born: In-Dish.
The idea: to re-interpret the already established Indian cuisine in Vienna. This challenge is embraced with enthusiasm – and successfully mastered.
We are the first to succeed in modernizing Indian cuisine in Vienna. From the Federal Chancellor to Bollywood stars to Iron Mike – everyone is thrilled.

2025
In-Dish – Redefined.
The idea of continuing to creatively shape our offering calls for an operational update. We are closing our doors – temporarily – and redefining the existing, successful concept.
The modern backdrop gives way to the charm of an Old English Style Bombay Café. Comfort increases – and our culinary creativity does too.
In-Dish establishes itself as a permanent fixture in the Viennese culinary scene. We build on what our guests say – and increasingly hear the phrase:
"If Indian, then In-Dish."

Future
Now and tomorrow?
We like to reflect on our journey – as a reminder, as a thank you to our guests, and as a motivation to continue to pamper them culinarily in the future.
